Looking for information on your application? You can check your application status through the Applicant Portal after you have applied and created your login credentials. Keeping up with your application and supplemental materials is an important part of the application process.
Your Applicant Portal will include a checklist of required items for the review of your application, information on how to submit your academic information, and any next steps you should take as you consider making Virginia Tech your home. This will also be the first place that you will see your admission decision.
Invitations to set up an Applicant Portal will begin to go out on September 1 for first-year applicants and October 1 for transfer applicants.
If you apply after September 1 (first-year) or October 1 (transfer), you can expect an email invitation to set up your guest credentials to access your Applicant Portal within 5 days of your application being received and processed. Please be sure to check your Spam/Junk folders throughout the admissions process and include admissions@d809.com as an approved sender. If you find that it has been a week or more since you applied and you have not received any communication from admissions@d809.com, please reach out to Undergraduate Admissions.
After creating your account, if you are having issues accessing your Applicant Portal that extend beyond 48 hours, particularly after an email change, please contact us at admissions@d809.com.
